“The idea of not being alone -- of having someone who sees me, same way I see the things that no one else can see, makes me feel like I'm real. Like I deserve to exist on this planet alongside everyone else. That I get to be here because there's someone else who wants me here too.”
― Kacen Callender, Hurricane Child

Trauma

We all experience trauma in some form, but sometimes our bodies and minds can get stuck in those experiences, making it hard to move forward on our own. In our work together, we’ll gently process the memories and beliefs that may be holding you back, and reconnect with the innate resilience you already carry—so you can move toward healing and greater ease.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing is an evidence based therapy used primarily to treat trauma, but it is also effective in treating a variety of mental health and somatic issues. It allows individuals to work through their physical reactions in addition to the thoughts that accompany these reactions. It helps people to change not only their thinking, but also how they feel when triggered. EMDR sessions can be provided in weekly one hour sessions or in more focused intensive sessions to alleviate symptoms more quickly.

Identity

As a biracial Korean/white woman and child of an immigrant, I bring a lived understanding of the complexities of cultural identity, intergenerational trauma, and belonging. I specialize in supporting BIPOC and multiracial adults—particularly those navigating racial identity, family legacies, and the impacts of systemic oppression.

I also work extensively with transgender clients and am committed to creating a safe, affirming space for gender exploration and healing.

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)

I offer a therapeutic modality called Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) in partnership with medical prescribers. KAP is a holistic modality in which ketamine is used as a complement to psychotherapy to help eligible patients experience more frequent breakthroughs and sustained improvement in symptoms. I take on the psychotherapy portion of the experience, while a medical provider supports you on all medical aspects. This includes determining eligibility, developing a custom treatment plan, prescribing the medicine and monitoring outcomes.

Couples/Partners

I work with partners in all types of relationships to deepen connection, improve communication, and foster empathy and understanding. Together, we’ll explore how past experiences and relationships shape the ways you show up with each other today—helping you move from reactive patterns toward more intentional, compassionate connection.

Veterans

Prior to starting my own practice, I worked for nearly a decade within the VA healthcare system, specifically with OEF/OIF veterans. I continue to work with veterans and am a clinical partner with The Headstrong Project (www.theheadstrongproject.org) which assists veterans with getting connected to no/low cost mental health care. Please feel free to contact me if you may be interested in this.
